Children and young people of all ages are very welcome at Kinver Methodist Church. A wide range of activities is put on for them, so that they feel very much a part of the Church family.
All those working with children and young people are trained and DBS checked in accordance with the Safeguarding Policy of the Methodist Church.
A copy of our Safeguarding Policy can be found here.
Children’s Church
Children’s Church meets every Sunday morning in the Church Hall, for the second part of the morning service and caters for children aged two and upwards. A crèche is available for younger children.
Children’s Church aims to give the children a good grounding in the principles of the Christian faith by developing their knowledge and understanding of the Bible in a relevant and child-friendly way. The sessions are designed to be fun and engaging through the use of music, games, quizzes and arts and crafts.
There are four Family Services each year (Mother’s Day, Easter, Harvest and Christmas) when the children remain in Church and often take part in the service.

Kinver Kids!
Kinver Kids is a Christian after-school club for anyone who is aged 7-11. It provides a place for young people to have fun with friends and explore what it means to get to know God. We meet for four weeks every half term and it’s a chance to share food and learn a little about God’s love each session, through art, drama, quizzes and lots of games!
We take the safeguarding of children and young people extremely seriously, so all Kinver Kids leaders are DBS checked and have undertaken advanced safeguarding training. All leaders wear a green sweatshirt/polo shirt with the Kinver Kids logo, so are immediately identifiable as trusted adults.
With the exception of parents dropping off and collecting children, no aduts apart from Kinver Kids leaders are allowed in the church for every session of Kinver Kids.
For more information on how we keep children safe at Kinver Methodist Church (and for details of how to report a safeguarding concern), please see our designated Safeguarding Page.
We meet on four Fridays each half term from 3.30-4.45pm and dates for Autumn 2024 are: 20th and 27th September and 4th and 11th October; 15th, 22nd and 29th November and 6th December.
